Reaching out to begin to bloom

Finally started to engage in other substacks and was inspired by someone’s art, from digital sketch to start of full illustration, made me want to draw.

So here is what it made me want to do. I did a sketch with a textured brush, then duplicated it, and refined it into full line art, then duppped it again to give it some color, playing with screen tone brushes. I am very proud with how it came out, I’m not the best with expressions, but I feel like I really captured a full face smile.

I use clip studio paint and a XP-Pen tablet.
